Чемпио́н — спортсмен или спортивная команда, ставшие победителем в каком-либо соревновании, обычно спортивном. В некоторых видах спорта высочайшее звание — чемпион мира. Олимпийский чемпион — спортсмен или команда, победившие в турнире Олимпийских игр. Обладателя второго места в спортивном дискурсе называют вице-чемпионом.
